"Der Landgraf" is an inherited royal title from ancient Germany, the history of which can be traced back to the 12th century. The first "der Landgraf" restaurant featuring authentic German cuisine was established in 1639.  After more than three centuries, it found its way to Fangzhuang, Beijing. Following its century-long tradition, Beijing "der Landgraf" brings you genuine German cuisine as well as a variety of imported German beers.  You can fully enjoy the wide range of beer tasting from Pilsner, Lager and Weizen beer to Cologne Kölsch. The interior decoration was designed by an experienced Cologne designer and blends the various design styles present along the Rhein river. The  wooden wainscoting adds tradition and class, the color of the tiled-floor makes for a cozy atmosphere. The tables give the impresion of being at a typical German pub.  The bar-counter in the middle of the restaurant is the highlight of Der Landgraf's decoration.  The ceiling above the bar is made of a copper beer jar with a diameter of 5.10m.  This is the first original beer jar ceiling design in China. The bar is equipped with a beer cooling system right until the tap to ensure that our patrons can enjoy fresh, flawless and well-cooled draft beer.

The Brewhouse was opened to the public in May of 1999 with a dinning area of 700 square meters and a dining capacity of 250 people.
