The German people have a long history of bringing beer to China. The now world famous Tsing Tao beer is one such example, originally brewed by Germans from the first Chinese brewery in Tsing Tao around 1900. Now the Great Wall of China can boast a German beerhouse in the Cologne style. Situated on top a 2000 years old and 6000 km long wall, the new beerhouse offers a variety of fresh and pure German beers, including the Gaffel K¨lsch.
Located at the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China, Fritz Jäckel and his Chinese partner, Cheng Yu, have established a guesthouse in the K¨lschen style. The Great Wall Landgraf can seat over 200 guests who can enjoy the unparalleled view while sampling cold German beer and tasty German delicacies. Ten staff, specially trained by Gaffel K¨lsch brewers, serve the lucky customers during their once in a lifetime visit to the Great Wall.
